Vardora — Privacy Policy
Developer: Faryah Mobile | Effective date: September 8, 2026 (replaces the August 31, 2026 version) | App: Vardora (com.faryahmobile.vardora)
Vardora is a shift calendar app that runs largely on your device. This policy describes exactly how the app handles your data — nothing here is boilerplate; it is written to match the app's actual code.
Summary
- No personal data such as your name, email address or phone number is ever requested, collected or shared.
- The app never asks you to create an account.
- Everything you enter (shift types, patterns, workplaces, calendar exceptions, notes, wage entries, reminder settings) is stored only in your device's local storage and never leaves it.
- The app contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
- The network is used for only two things: a one-time, anonymous check that prevents abuse of the free trial (see "Trial abuse prevention"), and Vardora Pro purchases through Google Play.
What data is processed on your device?
The shift types, shift patterns (cycles), workplaces, calendar exceptions (leave/sick days, per-day hours), notes, hourly wage entries, reminder preferences (mode, time, alarm style) and the cache used by the home screen widget are stored in the app's private storage on your device. This data:
- Stays on your device only — it is never sent to Faryah Mobile's servers or anywhere else.
- Remains on your device until you delete the app; uninstalling erases it via your operating system.
- Can optionally be exported to a file from Settings > Backup / Restore, to a location you choose (your own Google Drive, device storage, etc.) — this export never sends any data to Faryah Mobile.
Trial abuse prevention — the only network use
When your free trial starts, the app performs the following through Google Firebase:
- Anonymous sign-in. Firebase Anonymous Authentication creates a random, anonymous session ID. No name, email address, phone number or other identity is requested or stored.
- Device digest. A one-way SHA-256 digest of your device's Android ID is stored in Cloud Firestore together with a server-side "first seen" timestamp. The original device identifier cannot be recovered from this digest. Its only purpose is to detect whether this device has already used the free trial, so the trial cannot be renewed indefinitely by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
- Server time. The current server time is read so the trial cannot be extended by changing the device clock.
This data is never linked to your name, email or location, is never used for advertising or profiling, and Google does not use it for its own purposes — Google acts solely as our data processor. During the connection your IP address is processed technically by Google's infrastructure as with any internet request. If no network connection is available, the check is skipped and retried later; it never blocks the app's offline functionality.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the free trial (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); Turkish KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)). The digest is a pseudonymous identifier; we treat it with the same care as personal data.
Permissions
Vardora requests only the following permissions, each tied directly to reminders:
- Notification permission: to show shift reminders.
- Exact alarm permission: so the reminder arrives at the exact minute you chose.
- Full-screen notification permission (Android 14 and later): so a reminder set to "Ring like an alarm" can open full screen on the lock screen.
- Battery optimization exemption (optional): requested only if you ask for it in the Reminder Reliability Wizard, so the system does not delay reminders.
- Boot completed: to restore scheduled reminders after the device restarts.
- Wake screen: to turn the screen on and keep it on while a shift alarm rings.
- Internet: for the two purposes described above only.
No camera, location, contacts, files, or microphone permissions are requested.
Third-party sharing
Vardora does not share, sell, or use your data for advertising with any third party. The app contains no ad network, analytics library, or tracking SDK. Google Firebase and Google Play are used strictly as infrastructure/payment processors on our behalf, never for their own purposes.
In-app purchases
When you purchase Vardora Pro, the transaction is processed entirely through Google Play's billing system. Faryah Mobile never has access to your payment card details; it only stores the purchase status reported by Google Play on your device and verifies the purchase signature on the device.
Data security, retention and deletion
- Data on your device is protected by Android's app sandboxing (only Vardora can access it). To delete it, simply uninstall the app.
- Network traffic to Google Firebase and Google Play is encrypted with TLS.
- The trial record in Firebase (digest and timestamp) is kept only to prevent the free trial from being restarted on the same device. Because that purpose persists for as long as the app is offered, the record is not deleted on request: abuse prevention is an overriding legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 17(1)(c) and 21(1); Turkish KVKK Art. 7). The record contains no personal information, cannot be traced back to you, and is used for no other purpose. If the trial mechanism is ever discontinued, all records are deleted.
Children's privacy
Vardora is not directed at children and does not target users under 13.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data behavior changes, this page is updated and the effective date revised. Material changes are noted in the app's update notes. This version adds the anonymous Firebase sign-in and server-time details, the full-screen alarm, battery and boot permissions, the widget cache, the legal basis, and the retention rule for the trial record.

- Girdiğiniz her şey (vardiya tipleri, desenler, iş yerleri, takvim istisnaları, notlar, ücret girdileri, hatırlatma ayarları) yalnızca cihazınızın yerel depolama alanında tutulur ve oradan çıkmaz.
- Anonim oturum.
Vardora Pro satın aldığınızda işlem Google Play'in kendi ödeme altyapısı üzerinden yürütülür. Faryah Mobile ödeme kartı bilgilerinize erişemez; yalnızca Google Play'in bildirdiği satın alma durumunu cihazınızda saklar ve satın alma imzasını cihazda doğrular.
Veri güvenliği, saklama ve silme
- Cihazınızdaki veriler Android'in uygulama izolasyonuyla korunur (yalnızca Vardora erişebilir).

- Anonyme Anmeldung.
Weitergabe an Dritte

- Resumo do aparelho.
- Hora do servidor.
Compras no aplicativo
